Covers: Fitness Centers
Gyms collect sweat on vinyl benches, chalk on rubber floors, hair in shower drains and damp towels by the door. Members see all of it, and they compare you to the gym down the road.
Way Beyond Cleaning cleans fitness centers, boutique studios and training gyms across Fairfield County and Westchester County. We focus on the areas your front desk can't keep up with between classes: locker rooms, showers, restrooms, floors, mirrors and the touch points on equipment.
Rich is the owner and your contact. He'll walk the gym with you, note where members spend their time and build a scope around that, so the effort goes where people actually sweat.

Why gym cleaning needs its own plan
Moisture is the enemy in a gym. Showers and locker rooms stay damp for hours, and that's where smells and mildew start. These rooms need steady attention on every visit, with real scrubbing on floors and grout, rather than a quick wipe of the counters.
Surfaces are the other concern. Rubber flooring, upholstered pads, mirrors and sprung studio floors each react differently to cleaning products, and the wrong one can leave a slick residue or damage the finish. During the walk-through we'll go over your flooring and equipment, and we'll use any products your equipment makers recommend.
Scheduling
Gyms tend to open early and close late, so cleaning often fits into the overnight gap or a quiet midday window if your schedule has one. Studios with fixed class times can be cleaned after the last class of the day. A gym that never closes needs a plan for working around members who show up at odd hours, and we'll talk that through at the walk-through.

Questions facility managers ask
Do you wipe down the equipment or only the floors?
Both. We wipe the touch points on machines and benches every visit: handles, grips, seat pads and screens. Deeper equipment cleaning follows your manufacturers' guidance.
Our locker room smells even after it's cleaned. Can you help?
Smells usually start in drains, grout and corners that stay damp. We'll look at those during the walk-through and scrub where the odor starts.
We're open 24 hours. When would you clean?
We'd pick the quietest window, often late night or early morning, and work around anyone training. If you can see check-in patterns in your software, that helps us choose.
Can you clean our rubber floors without making them slippery?
Yes. We use products suited to rubber flooring and rinse properly so nothing slick is left behind. If your flooring maker recommends a cleaner, we'll use it.
