Newtown is the big town at the north end of Fairfield County. I-84 runs across it and Route 25 runs through it. There's no single downtown. It's a group of villages, each with its own center.
Around Main Street and the flagpole is Newtown Borough, with old homes, the Meeting House and Edmond Town Hall close by. Sandy Hook is to the east along the Pootatuck River, with shops along Church Hill Road. Hawleyville is up near I-84, and Botsford, Dodgingtown and Hattertown are smaller crossroads villages. The Fairfield Hills campus, once a state hospital, now belongs to the town and holds offices, playing fields and trails. Lake Zoar and Lake Lillinonah run along the town's edges.
This is one of the farther towns we serve. We drive up Route 25 through Trumbull and Monroe and plan the work around that trip.
