Mamaroneck sits on Long Island Sound between Rye and New Rochelle. The name covers both a village and a town, and the town also includes the village of Larchmont, so we treat the whole area as one stop.
The village's downtown runs along Mamaroneck Avenue down to the Boston Post Road and the harbor. Harbor Island Park sits on the water, and the village has its own Metro-North stop on the New Haven Line. Washingtonville is a dense older neighborhood, and Orienta is a quiet peninsula of shore homes. Larchmont has its own station and its own small downtown along Chatsworth Avenue and Palmer Avenue, with Larchmont Manor's large older houses down by the water.
From Fairfield it's I-95 past Greenwich, Port Chester and Rye, the same corridor as the rest of our Sound Shore work.
