Easton sits just north of Fairfield, and it feels much more rural than the towns on the shore. Farms, orchards and reservoir land cover a large share of it, including the Aspetuck and Hemlock reservoirs, and there's no train station and no big commercial strip.
Sport Hill Road (Route 59) runs north from Fairfield through the middle of town, and Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58) crosses the east side toward Redding. Easton Center holds the town hall, the library and a handful of businesses. Aspetuck, in the northwest, is one of the older sections, with historic homes along its roads. Homes elsewhere range from antique farmhouses to newer colonials on large lots.
Because it borders Fairfield, Easton is one of our closest towns. Most jobs here start with a quick drive up Sport Hill Road.
