Harrison is a town and village in one, set between White Plains and Rye. It has three distinct parts. Downtown Harrison centers on Halstead Avenue and the Metro-North station on the New Haven Line. West Harrison runs along Westchester Avenue and I-287, part of the office corridor known as the Platinum Mile. Purchase, in the north end, is large properties, corporate campuses and colleges.
Purchase is home to PepsiCo's world headquarters on Anderson Hill Road and Mastercard's headquarters, along with Purchase College, part of the State University of New York, and Manhattanville University. Westchester County Airport sits partly in the town, and the Hutchinson River Parkway, the continuation of the Merritt, runs right through it.
The housing follows the same split. Downtown and West Harrison have capes, colonials and some multi-family homes on regular lots, while Purchase has estates set back from the road behind stone walls.
