Darien is a small town between Norwalk and Stamford, and it's almost entirely residential. I-95 and the Post Road (US 1) run along the south side, the Merritt Parkway crosses the north, and there are two Metro-North stops, Darien and Noroton Heights.
On the water, Tokeneke and Long Neck Point have large shoreline properties and private roads. Noroton and Noroton Heights hold a mix of older colonials and newer houses, and the area around the Noroton Heights station has seen new building in recent years. Downtown Darien, on the Post Road near the station, holds the shops, banks and small offices.
From Fairfield, Darien is a straight trip down I-95. The work here leans heavily toward real estate, since homes sell and get renovated often and expectations for how a listed house looks are high.
